According to Mad Woman In The Forest, "teachers at Montgomery High School in Mt. Sterling, KY have been banned from wearing Banned Books Week tee-shirts that feature a quote from To Kill A Mockingbird."The reason? Because wearing them constituted what the school board described as "political activity." Well, obviously. But isn't pledging allegiance to the flag a "political activity"? And taking a holiday on Presidents Day and Memorial Day? And taking an active stance against "political activities"?
Oh, well. At least those played-out Che shirts are still kosher.
